Right now we are struggling to get organic traffic for a SaaS site — what actually worked for you?

85% match
We have a SaaS product and the site has been live for a while now but organic traffic is honestly embarrassing. Impressions are low, clicks are lower, and backlinks are basically zero outside of a couple of directories we submitted to manually. I know the usual advice — write blogs, do keyword research, get backlinks. But I keep running into the same problem. Generic content doesn't rank, and getting real backlinks feels like a full time job on its own. So wanted to ask people who've actually been through this: Where did your first real organic traffic actually come from? For backlinks — cold outreach, guest posts, something else entirely? Any free or low cost tools that helped you figure out what was actually wrong with the site? How do you even start building domain authority when you're at zero? Like is there a realistic way to grow it without spending money on links or is that just not possible early on? Is posting more content even worth it at this stage or does it just sit there with no views until the domain has some age and trust behind it? Would love to hear from people who've actually gone through this — what worked, what didn't, what you'd do differently if you were starting from scratch today. Any tips, tools, specific changes you made to your site or strategy, even small wins that slowly added up — all of it helps. Just trying to learn from people who've actually figured this out

What are the best alternative discovery channels for a bootstrap software startup?

85% match
Hi everyone, I’m a solo developer running a software startup during my off-hours. I have already built and launched a few products, but I’m struggling with discoverability. I want to know what spaces and strategies actually work today to get a new product noticed. Is being active on social media a hard requirement, or are there better alternatives for solo founders? For those who grew their startups without relying on daily social media posting: What alternative spaces (directories, marketplaces, platforms) drive the most organic traffic? How do you leverage SEO or programmatic discovery to get users finding your product passively? If you had to pick one high-impact channel to get a software business known from scratch, what would it be? Thanks for your advice!

I've built a niche job board but I'm struggling to get backlinks.

85% match
I've built a niche job board but I'm struggling to get backlinks. I don’t want to waste money on Fiverr links that could get flagged by Google. I’ve tried cold emailing blogs in my niche, but no one ever replies — even when I offered $150 for a guest post. Has anyone had success getting backlinks for a site like this? What worked for you?

How wise is it to publish MVP version on Product Hunt? "i will not promote"

55% match
I have already submitted to majority of the known launch platforms, however there are lot's of aspect that aren't yet done, like AI Integration and some UI enhancements....and due to tight schedule ....I am not able to finish it since long time, but it's also restricting me from getting mass feedbacks that could help me with product direction. Now realizing how big platforms also launch of product hunt, I wonder if there would be any scope of chance for my platform if I publish at this stage where its just beyond MVP.....would love any thoughts/advice.

Anyone else struggling to get their store to rank on Google?

55% match
I’ve been working on my collectibles store’s SEO and it’s honestly been a grind . Seems like no matter what I do new content, backlinks, tweaks Google keeps me stuck on page 2. I tried reading some articles online about how other small e-commerce stores fixed things like slow site speed and duplicate pages with no success most of the resources I found were either too basic or filled with confusing SEO jargon that didn’t help me much. Has anyone here managed to get real results with SEO lately? Any resourceful materials? Do you do your SEO work yourself or let someone else manage the technical stuff?

Founders — do you have a launch checklist you follow?

55% match
Hey folks, I’m in the early stages of building a product right now — still shaping the MVP — and I’ve been thinking ahead to the launch. I know every product and team is different, but I’m curious: • Do you have a go-to launch checklist or process you use? • Any lessons from your own launches you wish you knew earlier? • How do you balance building the product vs prepping for launch (community, distribution, etc.)? Honestly just trying to learn from people who’ve done this before. If you have a Notion doc, a mental framework, or even random tips — I’d love to hear them. Appreciate any insight you’re willing to share!
