affiliate links in digital marketing – how do you actually attribute revenue to specific campaigns

90% match
been running some affiliate campaigns for a while now and the one thing i cant figure out is attribution like when a sale comes through i genuinely have no way to know if it was from a specific email i sent, a blog post, or some social post from weeks ago. all the platforms just show me total commissions is this something you guys actually solve properly or does everyone just track by month and move on curious what workflows or tools the digital marketing folks here are actually using for this

How are you handling attribution from landing page to signup to revenue?

90% match
I’m trying to understand how SaaS teams are doing attribution today. Specifically:
How do you reliably connect a marketing touchpoint (UTM/referrer) to a user account and eventually revenue?
Are you: Just relying on GA dashboards? Storing UTMs in hidden fields? Using something like Dreamdata / HockeyStack? Rolling your own backend logic? From what I see, most tools are either: Expensive multi-touch suites with big dashboards Or fragile client-side setups I’m exploring a very simple, dev-first approach: Add a snippet to landing pages On signup, call an API Get back the attribution data collected earlier Attach it directly to your user record Is this a real pain point, or are existing tools "good enough"? Would you just build this yourself? I’m surprised how many SaaS teams still can’t cleanly answer "which campaign produced this paying customer?"

Does anyone know how to fix the "not set" attribution issue? Almost all revenue data is being assigned as not set which is causing major issues with the Google Ads conversion tracking for one of my clients. Can't seem to fix it.

How are you attributing ai prompts to revenue for your brand?

65% match
We have been tracing our brand mentions on ai and have realized we are getting massive traffic. When people ask ai tools the best stores for product X, our name is there. This is a great move that finally our brand is being featured on ai answers. However, did these customers convert? Here is our main challenge. We don't know which prompts led to conversion, so we can tie them to our revenue. Also, we need to find out these specific prompts so that we can optimize our brand better. So, how are you tracking those prompts for revenue attribution, more traffic, and better sales?
